Lustrum.

Such memories. Memories of a different person. A yonger person than I am today. So much has changed it amazes me. It's exciting to know that even more will change with time.
A part of me misses some of that person. While another part of me does not. Life is an interesting game we play isn't it?
Tear down the old, bring up the new.

The Garden In May.

The garden in May can be exciting, inspiring, and nerve racking. Everything is just starting to bloom
and sprout. Waiting to see how the weather turns out. The other night we had heavy wind, lighting,     and thunder. My roses are gone and along with the snowballs on my snowball tree. Alas there will be more blooms to come. The sun will shine again.

I had a visitor at my window today.

BreeAnna.

Sun Shining Through The Clouds.

I am trying to focus on the simple beauties in life. The changing seasons and what goes along with that. My garden is coming together and I am so excited for it. Steve and I have been doing very well. Spending the evenings together and snuggling on the couch watching movies. I love him so much.  I very much enjoy cooking for him and being there for him.

This morning I woke up to knocking at my front door. It was my friend Tiffany ready to go to the Saturday market.  We had such a nice time walking around all the booths looking for some food to buy for the coming week. Still being early in the season there isn't much to choose from. Especially when you only buy organic. The man I bought my eggs from was such a nice person. We stood there for about 15 minutes just talking to Tiff and I about England, Jews, and Vidal Sassoon. We never got his name though and we hope to go back next week to buy more eggs.
I am trying to be more thrifty with my grocery money. It's very hard though when you want to meet certain expectations.  It's sad that the price of food is so high. Although the price of cheap food is even 'higher'. I don't care how much money I make. I will always buy 'good' food.

                                                                   ~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sun has come out now. My record has stopped playing. I need to make some cages for my tomatoes out of bamboo. I am surprised they stood throughout the night of thunder and lighting and hard rain. The petals have fallen off of my roses and the same goes for my snowball tree. Ah well. There will be more blooms to come. I guess thats what I get for living in the Willamette Valley.
In The Early Spring Mornings.
I woke up this morning to the sound of birds singing and the sun shining though my bedroom windows. Today will be a good day. Water boiling on the stove for some tea. My garden calling out to me. What will today bring? Relaxation and happiness I presume.
Spring
I finally have time to sit down and relax. Lately I have felt like time is moving too fast and I can't seem to get anything done. I need money but I need to rest too. Therefore I am taking a week. A week to renew. A week to awake myself from this heavy fog inside my head. Now is the time to cross some things off of my to-do list and take a deep breath.
All will be well.
My garden is planted and I am now waiting for the little seeds to sprout. My peas are going crazy and I can't wait till I am able to eat some. Gardening is so rewarding to me. I just love watching plants grow. It's such a beautiful pattern. The seasons are so beautiful. Each having their own purpose. I feel that in order to find happiness for myself is to connect with the seasons on a deeper level. Find beauty in all of it. I can't keep myself locked up inside anymore. I need to stay outside... creating.
With love,
BreeAnna
The lilacs lift in generous bloom
  Their plumes of dear old-fashioned flowers;
Their fragrance fills the still old house
  Where left alone I count the hours.
High in the apple-trees the bees
  Are humming, busy in the sun, --
An idle robin cries for rain
  But once or twice and then is done.
